Sorry things are difficult. You really are doing great, though! Some comments - regarding lunches, when I'm on high fitness mode, I cook in bulk on the weekend and pre-package food into lunch containers for the week (only works if you don't mind leftovers). Then, before work, all I have to do is grab my lunch container (so fast, and cooking in bulk is a lot cheaper, too). And, regarding the stress eating, maybe try to make exercise your stress-relief. Maybe try to find a physical activity for a hobby if regular exercise is boring/tedious for you. Keep it up. Hope this helps.

Great to hear, I can't stress enough the importance of maintaining proper caloric intake if you're going to start incorporating exercise into your program. Many people think that the best way to lose weight is to drastically reduce your calories which is somewhat true but you need to maintain a certain level in order to maximize your metabolism. Too low and your body goes into starvation mode and starts hoarding every nutrient you put into it which in turn causes you to either plateau or actually gain weight.

As for the carbs, try hollowing out the bread at Subway and if you eat any pasta make sure it's whole wheat. You're doing your body a disservice with plain pasta, similar to eating white rice instead of brown rice. Also, look into adding quinoa into your diet as a side to go along with your protein and vegetable at dinner. It's an excellent source for protein and low carb. CBW now offers it with their bowls for an extra price.

Like I said on twitter, shoot me an email regarding your nutrition and I'd love to look it over and suggest some things.

Sounds like you are doing a great job of resisting temptation! I don't know if I could have ignored the rye bread & honey butter the way that you did. It's so hard to resist things that I don't make in my own kitchen. Good plan about no free days. My husband always says "The Rock diets 6 days a week but the 7th day he does whatever he wants." The thing is, The Rock doesn't need to lose weight - he's just maintaining. Keep up the good work! :)

Good stuff! May i suggest a larger breakfast as this ramps up the metabolism in the morning and helps suppress hunger for the rest of the day, also cut out the cheese and go wholemeal bread. Keep it up mate. Matt

Actually, most groceries have instant grits, though they only have it in the individual serve packets. I do miss back home where I could buy a box of grits. :D
