Today was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, at least as far as the diet is concerned. I pulled myself out of bed this morning, which was difficult due to the time change for Daylight Savings Time. As you know from my previous post, I was not able to successfully weigh myself this morning. When I got to work, I had my usual 2 cups of coffee with creamer and sweet n low (about 20 calories total.) Eventually lunch came around, and as much as I wanted either Subway or BreadCo, we ended up going to Jersey Mike’s Subs. I ended up getting a Chicken Caesar Salad. According to their website, the salad is 510 calories and the dressing is 150 calories. The salad was actually tasty, much more so than I was expecting. I went through the rest of the day without any hunger or whatnot, though I thought for sure I would be. I did have about 24oz of water throughout the day.
I needed to run errands (get a new scale) before coming home tonight, so I decided to stop into BreadCo for dinner. I got a Chicken Caesar Salad (my addiction) for 510 calories (with dressing!) and an apple. I decided to save the apple for later, but the Salad was as tasty as always. So, if I can make it through the rest of the evening without snacking, I should be right around 1200 calories for the day.
In other news, I got my scale – I went ahead and tried to get a weigh in, though my official one will be tomorrow morning. I came in at 335.6lbs – right about where I expected. I run into a different problem though; my body fat reading is beyond the capacity of the scale!! It maxes out at 60%, so I’m beyond that point. So until that comes down, I won’t be able to get readings for all the other spiffy items the scale tracks (body fat, bone mass, muscle mass, and water percentage). Once I’m able to track those items, I will cover them in the site as well.
Thats about it so far this evening. A very good start to the diet…
UPDATE: About an hour after posting this, I started getting hungry. Decided to have myself a navel orange – so that’s another 70 calories. Still a very good day overall!
