Day 89 – Breakfast

P8010028Today is not going to be a “Free Day”, but I wanted to try taking in a slightly heavier breakfast in order to see how it affects me.  I got up early enough to stop by Quiktrip to pick up a Hotzi breakfast sandwich.  In all, it’s not bad calorie-wise, but it’s still not exactly healthy.  I chose the Sausage Egg and Cheese Buscuit.  Overall, I’m not sure it was worth it.  It tasted good, but the entire time I was having it, I just got nausious thinking about what I was putting into my body.  That’s not a feeling I enjoy experiencing at all.  I felt guilty, even though I knew I was going to post about it.  I think it’s just because it doesn’t seem to have any redeeming health value, besides maybe protien.   Otherwise, it’s more or less a pile of grease. :P   I can’t believe this used to be my nearly daily breakfast at one point.   I think in the future, if I want to pick up breakfast, I’ll make a trip to McDonalds.  I can get a Egg McMuffin, which I like a LOT more than this, for 100 calories less.  Also, the Egg McMuffin has less than 1/2 the fat content that this had.  I’ll probably avoid this again in the future, unless for some reason I’ve got no other choice.  I also got a large coffee with it, and that was as good as always! :)

    Wow… that doesn’t look very good. Wonder how long it’s been sitting there.. wonder what that sausage is made of. *shivers* I’d eat it.
    It’s really awesome that you are uber aware of what your putting into your body now. You should never be ashamed, do what you do and pfft everything else. =)

    I agree. It doesn’t look very tasty. A heartier breakfast is probably a good idea, though. Perhaps you could try a high fiber/high protein cereal in the morning? I often have Kashi Lean cereal with skim milk. You could add a banana or some other fruit to it as well for extra flavor. That could make for a satisfying start to your day.
