Day 80 – Dinner
Greatest… Turkey Burger… Evah! I went to the store finally this evening and did a pretty major sized grocery. I’ve got everything I needed restocked, and also got a few extras like towels for the gym. I need to rotate them almost every visit and don’t want to wash every night. One thing I picked up was a box of Jennie-O Turkey Burgers. I’ve almost always gotten the fresh kind previously, but for 12 at the price I normally pay for 4, I couldn’t pass up the bargain.
I plopped two of the burgers on the forman grill, threw on some of the regular stuff that I add… worstcheshire sauce, mesquite spice, chili powder, and a new ingredient.. Crystal hot sauce! The crystal made a difference! I was amazed just how little sauce added a level of spice that took the burger to the next level! I was very impressed, and the sauce was well worth the extra $.60 at the grocery! So, here’s the breakdown:
| Dinner: | |||
| QTY | Item | Calories | |
| 8oz | Turkey Burger Patties | 320 | |
| 2 | Healthy Life Whole Grain Hamburger Buns | 160 | |
| 2 slices | Kraft Fat Free American Cheese | 60 | |
| 2 tbsp | Worstcheshire Sauce | 20 | |
| 2 tsp | Crystal Hot Sauce | 0 | |
| 40oz | Lipton Diet Green Tea w/ Citrus | 0 | |
| Grand Total: | 560 | ||
That brings my total for the day up to 1760 calories. I decided to skip the gym due to the grocery trip and the multiple trips up and down the stairs unloading the car. Overall, it was a great day, and even eating at a new, strange, and different place for lunch, I still did great with the diet!
